Jo Hannah ~ Ceramic Artist
Jo is a ceramic artist based in Nantwich, Cheshire,UK. In addition to creating her own work, Jo has taught pottery to groups at Surrey Art School and to various community groups on behalf of Mole Valley Council, as well as private pottery lessons to individuals in her studio.
She studied 3D Design Crafts at Richmond College, London, before achieving a Masters degree in Ceramics at the University for the Creative Arts, Farnham, in 2018.
The inspiration for Jo’s work is rooted in the power of nature and its healing qualities. Nature’s ability to thrive and grow and reclaim manmade structures has been an endless source for Jo’s creativity and becomes a metaphor for strength over adversity and the ability to heal.
Jo creates hand built and thrown work using high fired stoneware clay and a variety of surface design techniques.
